INSURANCE PREMIUM COMPUTER
Although this looks like a large calculator
it is actually an early specialized application of a computer.
Based on the " Rockwell AIM 65 interactive
microcomputer" . This computer stored insurance information
used to calculate premium rates. It had a twenty character LED display
just above the keyboard and a small on-board printer. It could be
programmed in BASIC, FORTRAN, ASSEMBLER, and other computer languages
of the time.
THE
WATER WIZARD
POOL WATER ANALYSIS COMPUTER
This computer used optics to analyze swimming
pool water for customers of pool chemical retailers.
The customer would bring in a sample the
computer would analyze, then print out a list of chemicals together with
complete instructions as to what had to be added to the pool to correct
any abnormal conditions.
